About the Programme

The 2-year MSc. Programme in ‘Agriculture and Rural Development (ARD)’ includes courses/papers covering the concept of integrated rural development, rural society, demography, rural resources and environment, biodiversity, agricultural technologies, rural advanced technologies, entrepreneurship development, women and child development, rural health and sanitation, rural administration, research methodologies, etc., as well as the management aspects of all the above-mentioned topics in an integrated manner.

The students will have the liberty to choose optional and special courses through the credit accumulation system. Regular practical training and field work in the University farms as well as in villages and market, and programme evaluation are some of the important features of the programme. Dissertation work and at least two Seminars are compulsory for all students.
