Note:

  1. As per our rules for admission to the PhD course, those who have qualified for the UGC-NET/ ICAR-NET/ CSIR-NET/ SET examination, need not appear in the admission test. Other candidates must appear and qualify the test to be called for an interview for the final selection.
  2. The question patterns for the Research Eligibility Test (RET) will be multiple-choices (40 marks) and subjective questions (20 marks). As per UGC guidelines, half of the questions will be on research methodology and the remaining half on subject matter. The candidates are advised to prepare the syllabus covering at the M.Sc.(Ag) in Agronomy level consisting Advanced Agronomy, Tillage, Agronomy of different crops (Agronomic Management of crops like Cereals, Oilseeds, Pulses, Fibre crops, Sugar crops, Forage crops, etc.), Nutrient management, Irrigation management, Crop production in problem soils, Weed management, Organic farming, Cropping systems, Dryland & Rainfed Agriculture, Integrated Farming System (IFS), Crop Modelling and Agroforestry. There will not be any negative marking.
  3. Candidates should reach the venue at least 30 minutes before the start of the examination. All those who will qualify for the RET test shall be informed by mail and official website on 23rd September, 2023. Candidates are instructed to bring any Identity proof (with a photo) and Admit Card while coming for the RET.
  4. The interview schedule of all candidates who have qualified for the written test or who have been exempted from the written test shall be informed accordingly.
