Based on the performance in the personal interviews held on 19 July 2022 at the IRDM Faculty Centre of RKMVERI, the following applicants have been selected or kept on waitlist for engagement as Project Fellow in the following projects funded by UGC-DAE CSR.

Applications are invited from highly motivated and eligible candidates as research student under the project sponsored by UGC-DAE Consortium for Scientific Research, Kolkata Centre entitled “Ionizing radiation-induced mutagenesis and rapid identification of mutant genes for the improvement of traditional aromatic rice” (Reference no. CRS/2021-22/02/499) at the IRDM Faculty Centre, Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute (RKMVERI), Narendrapur, Kolkata.

M.Sc. (not earlier than 3 years) with a minimum of 55% marks in Life Sciences, Botany, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Botany, and allied subjects |
Candidates having experience of working with molecular biology techniques such as DNA isolation, PCR, cloning and gene expression analysis in plants. |

After completion of 2 years as a CRS Project Fellow (Junior) -I + at least one research paper in a reputed SCI journal + assessment of the student by a 3 member expert committee approved by the Centre-Director |

M.Sc. (not earlier than 3 years) with a minimum of 55% marks in Life Sciences, Botany, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Botany, and allied subjects + Valid JEST/GATE/NET-JRF/Lectureship/UGC-CSIR-JRF/Lectureship + PhD registration of the student under the super vision of the PI at the University where PI is affiliated |

*Qualification is as per the latest guideline of UGC-DAE CSR project.
Duration:
Initial appointment is for one year, which is extendable up to the end of the project duration based on the performance of the candidate.

- No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
- The shortlisted candidates will be informed through email for interview on date specified later.
- All appointments are on temporary basis and will co-terminate with CRS project.
- Candidate selected for this position will be encouraged to register for regular Ph.D. program (as per UGC guideline) at IRDM faculty centre under Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute, Narendrapur, Kolkata. Original documents of age proof/certificates/degrees/mark-sheets and other testimonials must be presented at the time of interview.
