Applications are invited for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a DBT funded research project with following details:
Title of the project:
Development of Potential AChE-inhibitors from North East Indian plants: Activity- guided Isolation, Purification and Validation using transgene-AD mouse.
Work component:
Bioactivity guided separation of active compounds from North-East medicinal plants and purification, characterization of potential AChE-inhibitors.

Essential qualifications:
- M.Sc. (Chemistry/ Biochemistry/ Pharmacognosy/ Biotechnology/ Botany/) or equivalent degree with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks.
- For SC/ST category, the candidate must have secured a minimum of 55% aggregate marks in masters’ degree.
- In addition, the candidate must have qualified ‘CSIR-UGC National Eligibility Test JRF-NET including LS’ or ‘Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE)’.
Age limit:
The upper age limit is 28 years at the time of appointment.
Fellowship:
Rs. 31,000/- per month (plus HRA), shall be applicable only if candidates meet educational qualification and eligibility criteria as per DST OM No. SR/S9/Z-08/2018 dated 30.01.2019.
Duration:
Three years or up to the termination of project (whichever is earlier).
