Please carefully review the following information:

  1. Research Eligibility Test (RET):
    The RET for the PhD in ARD Programme is scheduled for 11 January 2024 (Thursday), from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon at the Narendrapur Campus of RKMVERI. Note that candidates qualified in the NET are exempt from the RET and will proceed directly to the interview. The examination will take place at our Narendrapur Campus.   2. Exam Format: The RET will encompass both multiple-choice (40 marks) and subjective questions (20 marks).
  3. Syllabus: The syllabus for the RET covers broad areas of (a) Agriculture and Rural Development, and (b) Research Methodology. 
  4. Selection of shortlisted candidates for interview: All the candidates who qualify for the Interview will be informed by email, and their name will be published on the official website on 13 January, 2024 (Saturday).
  5. Interview of shortlisted candidates:
    The interview of shortlisted candidates will be held on 16 January 2024 (Tuesday). The personal interview will commence from 10:00 am. The interview will consist of a presentation of a research proposal (max 10 slides, 8-10 minutes), followed by interactions and a personal interview on subject matters. All the candidates must appear in the RET and Interview in person. However, candidates from distant places may apply for an online interview (not online RET), which may be considered by the concerned authority.
  6. Publication of result: The list of selected candidates for admission to the PhD in ARD Programme will be published on the official website on 19 January 2024 (Friday).
