Applications are invited for the position of Project Associate-I in the project funded by the West Bengal Pollution Control Board, Government of West Bengal at the School of Environment and Disaster Management, Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute, Narendrapur Campus.

Project Title: “Quantification of Pesticide and Fertilizer in the Agricultural Land of North 24 Parganas, Hoogly, Malda and Purulia”

Essential: M.Sc. (Ag.) in Agricultural Chemistry and Soil Science/ MSc (Ag.) in Agronomy/ M.Sc. in Chemistry/ M.Sc. in Environmental Science/M.Sc. in Environment and Disaster Management/ M.Sc. in any branches of Biological Sciences.

Desirable:
1. Doctoral Degree/ NET/ GATE/ SET Qualification.
2. Understanding of West Bengal Agriculture scenario, experience in basic remote sensing and GIS, experience in field survey and laboratory analysis of soil, plant and water.
3. Knowledge of Statistical analysis of the data.

 1 (One) 45000/-

Duration of the Project

Twelve months or the termination of the project, whichever is earlier, in consultation with the funding agency and university administration.

  • The appointment is purely temporary and will terminate automatically without any notice or compensation on the termination of the project.
  • The appointment of the applicant will be governed by the terms and conditions of the funding agency and the implementing agency (RKMVERI).
  • The qualification prescribed should have been obtained from recognised Universities / Institutions / Boards, etc.
  • The prescribed educational qualifications are the bare minimum and mere possession of the same does not entitle the candidates to be called for the interview.
  • The list of the shortlisted candidates will be posted on this website on 13 March 2025.
  • No TA/DA will be provided for appearing in the interview.
  • No interim enquiries/correspondence/communication will be entertained regarding the selection procedure.
