Applications are invited for the following posts in ‘Sasya Shyamala’ Krishi Vigyan Kendra, under the aegis of Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute, located at Arapanch, PO-Sonarpur, Dist. South 24-Parganas Kolkata 700150, West Bengal.

1. Subject Matter Specialists: PB-3, Pay scale Rs.15600/- — Rs.39100/-, with Corresponding Grade Pay Rs.5400/-. Two posts – One each in the following subjects:
   1. Agronomy
   2. Genetics/Plant Breeding/Seed /Science and/or Seed Technology.

   (As per Circular No.F.ZPD-II/1-G/2009-10/4214-38 dated 25 November 2010, read with Circular No.F.NO.ZPD-II/6^th CPC// dated 30 March 2011)
   Qualification: Master’s degree in the relevant field or equivalent qualifications from a recognized University.
   Desirable: Doctoral degree, NET in the relevant subject/field.

2. Programme Assistant (Lab Technician): PB-2, Pay scale Rs.9300/- — Rs.34800/-, with Grade Pay Rs.4200/-. One post.
   (As per Circular No.F.ZPD-II/1-G/2009-10/4214-38 dated 25 November 2010, read with Circular No.F.NO.ZPD-II/6^th CPC// dated 30 March 2011)
   Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Science with the knowledge of Soil and Plant analysis.
   Desirable: M.Sc. in Soil Science, Agricultural Chemistry or any Agriculture-related subjects. (ii) Experience in the Agriculture related Laboratories (Soil and plant analysis)
3. Programme Assistant (Computer): PB-2, Pay scale Rs.9300/- — Rs.34800/-, with Grade Pay Rs.4200/-. One post.
   (As per Circular No.F.ZPD-II/1-G/2009-10/4214-38 dated 25 November 2010, read with Circular No.F.NO.ZPD-II/6^th CPC// dated 30 March 2011)
   Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Computer Applications/Computer Engineering.
   Desirable: Master’s degree in Computer Science/Computer Applications, some experience in handling practical ICT problems, designing and maintaining websites etc.

Age limit:

The maximum age limit for the post is 35 years, which is relaxable as per Govt. of India rules. However, the above age limit is not applicable to the persons who are already in service on regular establishment of Government/other recognised  institutions or universities.

A non-refundable application fee of Rs.500/- (Rs. five hundred only) for the post of ‘Subject Matter Specialist’ and Rs.300/- (Rs Three hundred only) in case of ‘Programme assistant’ should be paid by “A/c Payee Demand Draft drawn in favour of “Sasya Shyamala Krishi Vigyan Kendra”, payable at Kolkata.  On the top of the envelope containing the application, please mention the following in block letters: APPLICATION FOR KVK—FOR THE POST OF ……………………… (Mention the name of the post).

General Instructions

1. In-service candidates should forward their application through proper channel. No-objection certificate (NOC) should be produced at the time of interview.
2. Separate application should be submitted for each post.
3. The University reserves the right not to fill up any of the vacancies advertised in case of non-availability of any suitable candidate.
4. It should be clearly remembered that the continuance of the above posts will be strictly subject to financial support from ICAR. Further, these posts are governed strictly by the relevant rules and regulations framed by ICAR from time to time.
5. Candidates applying against reserved post for OBC category must submit a valid (up-to-date current financial year) Certificate from the appropriate authority as per Govt. of India Rules.
6. Please provide only a list of publications, if any (research, technical, extension), the actual reprints should not be sent with the application at this stage. They must be produced at the time of interview.
7. The University reserves the right of rejection of any application form due to non-observance of these instructions.
