A historical ‘Three-Day Training Programme on Natural Farming’ under the National Mission on Natural Farming (NMNF), Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare, Government of India, for State Level Officers of West Bengal was organized at the ‘Centre of Natural Farming (CoNF)’, Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute (RKMVERI), Narendrapur Campus, during 30 June to 02 July, 2026. This training programme aims to equip officials with the domain knowledge and skills of natural farming practices, enabling them to promote and support natural farming in the state of West Bengal. So far, 55 participants, including the nodal officer and government officers of state, district, and block levels, attended this training programme on natural farming. The programme was inaugurated with the holy and august presence of Swami Atmapriyananda, Pro-Chancellor, RKMVERI, Swami Shivapurnananda, Brahmachari Vedeshachaitanya, Assistant Administrative Head, RKMVERI, Narendrapur Campus, and Dean, RKMVERI, Narendrapur Campus. The training programme was designed with technical-cum-lecture sessions with both theoretical and practical insights, featuring a model demonstration farm to stimulate farmers’ fields and hands-on practical sessions with different natural farming inputs, such as Jeevamrit, Beejamrit, and bio-pesticides, namely Neemastra, Agniastra, and Brahmastra.
