One Day Faculty Development Program (FDP) program” on “Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), Entrepreneurship and Plant Variety Protection” organized by IPR Cell, RKMVERI, Narendrapur Campus on 25th March, 2026 (Wednesday). This program is funded by the Patent Information Centre, Department of Science and Technology Biotechnology, Govt. of West Bengal.
Inaugural lecture was given by Prof. Pabitra Banik (Professor, IRDM, Narendrapur), Dr. Ashutosh Sawarkar (Head, Division of Agriculture), Dr. Swagat Ghosh (Head, SSKVK), Dr. Sanchayeeta Misra (Head, Division of Rural Development) and Dr. Gautam Chatterjee (Asst. Prof, Agril Biotechnology).

Total 47 participants were present in FDP. Expert from DSTBT, Govt. of West Bengal, MSME, CBBO, Institution Innovation Council (IIC)-Jadavpur University delivered lecture. This is the second programme of IPR Cell 2025-2026 FY. Faculty, research scholars and other incubation potential organization including NGOs participated in Idea hackathon and a report on specific theme were submitted by the participants through Non disclosure format shared from the cell for possible patentability analysis by Patent Information Centre, DSTBT, West Bengal.
