A walk-in interview will be conducted to recruit one ‘Young Professional-I (YP-I)’ (purely contractual post) under the Research Project entitled ‘Back to nature: An impact analysis on mulching and cereal-legume intercropping in natural farming using OMICS approaches’ funded by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research/ National Mission on Natural Farming (ICAR/NMNF), Government of India, at the Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute (RKMVERI), Narendrapur Campus, Kolkata 700 103.

Essential Qualification:

Graduates in Agricultural Sciences or equivalent with minimum 60% marks from a recognized university are eligible to apply.

Desirable:

Practical exposure and hands-on experience in various soil, plant, and microbial techniques, including genomics and any other relevant experience.

Age limit:

The minimum age will be 21 years and not exceeding 45 years with relaxation as per Govt. rules as on the date of interview (enclosed certificate of age).

Fellowship:

Rs. 30000/- (Rupees thirty thousand only) per month (consolidated—no other allowances, etc. are permissible).

Duration:

Initial appointment will be till the end of this financial year, that is, till 31 March 2026 and based on the performance of the candidate and the assessment/recommendation of the Principal Investigator concerned, the period will be suitably extended. The total duration of the Project will be two (2) years initially.

Terms and Conditions:

1. ‘No Objection Certificate’ from the present employer, in case the candidate is employed elsewhere, is to be submitted.

3. As mentioned above, the above position is purely temporary and will be filled on a contractual basis. The service of the appointed candidate may be terminated if the candidate’s performance/progress is not found satisfactory or on completion of the period of engagement in the project indicated in the offer letter or co-terminus with the project, whichever is earlier. The candidate cannot claim any legal right, whatsoever, for further absorption in the concerned project or in the university.
